BA nearly doubles Avios needed for short haul US flights from 2 Feb 16

BA announced today that it is increasing the cost of short US based flights using Avios from 2 Feb 2016. The current Economy award goes from 4,500 to 7,500 Avios -plus about $6 in taxes.
