First day of UK travel sees three hour delays at Heathrow, for ARRIVALS

The UK Daily Mail is reporting that passengers arriving in to Terminal 2 at Heathrow yesterday were being made to wait for 3 hours due to less than 10 immigration desks being staffed. In addition passengers complained that they were kept waiting next to passengers from Red List countries.

The previous policy of fast tracking parents with children has been suspended.

With large numbers of Brits being allowed to leave the England, Scotland and Wales for the first time, the queues on their return will add to these problems.

  1. Seems as though no matter what country you live in, the government isn’t ever prepared for changes from the norm. I am happy, though, that we are able to visit other countries and meet new people. I enjoy your notices.
