United announced yesterday that they are giving Global Services and 1K members a free snack when sat in Coach, in addition to the free alcoholic drink they announced last year.

The item, from the Choice Menu, is offered when the flight attendant is shown the GS/1K membership card, boarding pass or electronic membership card on the UA app.

The offer applies on flights in U.S. flights, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

It’s a nice gesture and matches what some other US airlines do for their top tier elites.
