BA terminal changes at Heathrow

BA is moving its flights around at Heathrow between terminals. Terminal 1 closes later in the month and BA have to accommodate the loss of gates. Later in a year a number of long haul destinations switch to Terminal 3, from Terminal 5.

Terminal 5 to Terminal 3
British Airways flights between London Heathrow and Accra, Cape Town, Denver, Las Vegas, Miami, Nairobi, Phoenix and Vancouver will move to London Heathrow Terminal 3.

The moves to Terminal 3 are especially disappointing as T3 has famously the most rude security staff at Heathrow and the lounges are not as nice as T5’s and indeed, there is no Concorde Room at T3. I suspect that the flights selected don’t have as many business travellers as other flights.

So it’s worth checking if you are flying to these destinations.

Comments

  1. Very timely as we head to Bilbao this weekend and fly back after the terminal change occurs!

  2. Phew! Feel like I dodged a bullet as three of us in my family fly LHR-ATL in three weeks in first and have been looking forward to my neck & shoulder massage at Concorde’s Elemis spa-well, that and some Grande Siecle Champagne I suppose.
