Hilton Riverside London – revisited

About a year ago I visited the Hilton Riverside, close to Canary Wharf in London. The review can be read here. I recently had cause to stay there again and so have updated the review.

The public areas remain the same and whilst the hotel was fairly busy with some overseas coach parties staying, there was little or no noise to keep me awake.

The room I had this time was the same as before, classed as an Executive Plus, but given as an upgrade as a Gold member of HHonors.

Facing the river, directly across from Canary Wharf the room had two floor-to-ceiling windows which jutted out giving a great place to sit and watch the boats go by. One of these opened so I had a small balcony. The awful cold we have experienced this spring did not lend itself to staying outside very long.

The bed was comfortable, and large!

Bathrobes were provided – always a winning addition to any hotel.

The bathroom was smaller than the last room that I had, which was just along the hall. However, it was large enough and had a heated towel rail.

Views from the windows were down to the outside bar area which was not in use due to the weather.

In conclusion, a nice hotel, that clearly likes it HHonors members, in a nice location. Well worth a visit.

  1. “that clearly likes it HHonors members”

I don’t even have gold level membership and they gave me an upgrade to executive plus when I stayed there.

  2. The restaurant is fantastic, try to book a package room with dinner. With status you get breakfast for free. I usually stay here when going to the London Boat Show in January. They have a shuttle every 15 minutes to the underground station. Walls are all brick so the rooms are quiet.
