Living in an Olympic City – part 3 – Tube marked up with Olympic venues and the surprise hit!

a sign on a wallDuring my travels over the weekend I noticed that TFL (Transport for London) has started to add temporary markers to many of its tube signs. These show station information for Olympic venues – in a lovely pink – as shown above.

Once you get to your station, exits are marked with venue information.

The surprise to many – including me – is the interest in the Olympic Torch Relay, which has turned in a very well attended, and quite inspirational. Children, celebreties, ordinary people, disabled people, and military vets have all carried the flame.

  1. Hmmm… Call me colour blind, but I don’t see any pink markings on your picture. You mean the wheelchair signs?

  2. Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
