Airport hotels often offer great rates at weekends when there are few business travellers. The Hyatt Regency at CDG, Paris is one of these. They are located about 15 minutes from the airport but do offer a good level of service to guests. Often used by airline crew the rooms are well glazed to secure a good night’s sleep.
What do you ask of an airport hotel? A good nights sleep and the Hilton Dublin Airport delivers that. Despite relatively infrequent shuttles and the 10 minute drive to the hotel, it offers good value and quiet rooms. If you’re not in a rush for an early departure it’s worth looking at.
Hyatt now has several properties at LAX – a Hyatt House, a Hyatt Place and the affiliate Concourse Hotel. Soon to return as the Hyatt Regency LAX, it’s clear that work has started. The upper floors are closed with crates of items packed up ready to be refurbished.

Hilton Diamond Membership is supposed to come with perks for the frequent stayer. Whilst an upgrade to a suite is always a super benefit, my recent stay at the refurbished and re-branded Doubletree London Docklands, saw me in probably the smallest suite I have ever seen.
Once there was only one property near Miami International Airport, the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables. No longer the case, I had forgotten this property existed until a flight delay had me scrabbling for somewhere to stay overnight. It turned out to be a great stay.
The Hyatt Regency Waikiki is a large property but the staff make you feel like the only guest. A lovely upgrade to a suite enabled me to really enjoy my three days there.

My go to property at Miami Airport is the Hyatt House. It’s close to the airport and provides good value, and free breakfast, shuttle and WiFi. And, it seems as if it’s getting a makeover. I hope this is going to be rolled out to all Hyatt Houses.
