AA splits operations between terminals at Heathrow

Some confusion may result from a change AA has made to its operations at Heathrow. For several months Terminal 3, AA’s traditional home, has been closed. It’s recent re-opening, first as a red-country terminal and then as home to Delta and Virgin sees AA moving back from Terminal 5, at least in part.

It appears that AA is leaving it’s JFK flights at Terminal 5 for now.

Please note counter opening times for AA:

Terminal 3

Zone C
Daily: 5:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Terminal 5 ‐ Flights to New York (JFK)

Main cabin – Zone C
Flagship® Business – Zone C
Flagship® First – Zone J
Daily: 5:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The Terminal 3 Lounges are shown as still closed, which will be disappointing for those leaving from there, as BA has T5 lounges open
