Using UK AMEX Membership Rewards points for Eurostar discounts

Eurostar launched a new frequent traveller scheme earlier in the year and now that things have settled down, it is worth remembering that you can convert Membership Rewards points (from your Amex spend) to secure discounts on Eurostar trips.

Your need to set up a membership with Club Eurostar before you can make the transfer and then register it with Amex.

Transfers can be made in batches of 1500 Membership Rewards points to 100 Eurostar points.

600 Eurostar points allows a £30 discount, 400 a £20 discount and 200 allows a £10 discount on ticket purchases in all classes of service. You need the points in the Eurostar account before you book.

Membership Rewards transfer can be combined with earnings from travelling on Eurostar to secure bigger benefits. However, the transfers do not count for elite status with Eurostar.

In addition to discounts, you can use the points for the following other rewards:

  1. So a dire exchange rate really, half that of the a wholesale avios point. I’d keep em and look for better value elsewhere unless flushed with MR Points. Total waste.
