This week Hyatt will add a further hotel at London Heathrow Airport, the Hyatt Place Heathrow. Not to be confused with the Hyatt Place Heathrow/Hayes, this property is a conversion of an existing property (the Heathrow Hotel).
Located much closer to the airport than the Hayes property the new hotel is within the Heathrow Free Travel Zone, making it accessible for free for passengers travelling to and from the airport at no cost.
Described as 4*, the 357 rooms as spacey, options seem to be Standard, runway View Rooms and Suites.
Rates are £126-£145 weekdays and £105-£129 weekends for the cheapest rooms. However, some weekends have £88 rooms available. At the moment I can only see standard rooms as available to book, the view rooms and suites are not mentioned in the booking screen.
The standard Hyatt Place Gallery offering – including free breakfast – is on site. However, confusingly, there is a Bed and Breakfast rate offering Room Service or Restaurant service!
Anyway, it gives another offering for those who like Hyatt at Heathrow.
This is long overdue. It has a major advantage over the Hayes property, being so close to Heathrow. I’m not sure what the purpose of the Hayes property is now, to be honest! Unless this new hotel turns out to be disappointing.
