My British Airways presentation at FTU Oslo

I delivered a presentation at the Frequent Traveller University in Oslo on Saturday morning. There were a lot of slides and I have used PowerPoint’s video conversion to make them in to a video on YouTube.

The weekend was full of people learning and sharing and I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay in Norway.

Post questions in the Comments section and I’ll try to answer them this week.

There will be a random draw for one lucky person to win an unopened British Airways First Class amenity kit.

Although the slides move fairly quickly you can pause and replay the video to your heart’s content.

  1. Thanks for the presentation. So it would be a decent use of points if I got the card and used it to fly myself and my nieces from Baltimore to Ottowa, because it’s not a long distance, correct? And thanks for the drawing, I’ll be flying BA for the first time this week, LCY-EDI.

  2. Hi Miles from Blighty,

  3. Thanks for a great presentation in Oslo! I have a follow-up – when you talked about legs and earnings of TP (1,26 in the film), you said that the trips to Hawaii gave A LOT of TP when booked smart, and that it did not cost to much. How are you able to find these good prices you mentioned, and with all these segments?

    Cheers, Joachim

  4. Joachim – look for fares from Dublin, Amsterdam or Copenhagen. They are very good value at the moment. You need to be flexible with your dates. Typically summer time or Easter or US Thanksgiving holidays see the best fares. Fares come and go although some ex-CPH tend to be around for a long time. Use the AA web site in your region to book online or use Google Flights where you can put in a number of segments. Use their multi-flight options to specify where you want to connect through.
