It appears that some of the concerns expressed when La Compagnie announced service from London have come to pass. I’ve received an email in respect of my flight due in two weeks time announcing a change to the return flight time. This is the text of the email:
Dear Valued Client,
Allow us to inform you of the rescheduling of your flight B0007 from New York (EWR) to London (LTN) on May 08th, 2015. Indeed, due to aircraft availability planned for that day in our fleet, we have to consolidate our operations between Paris and London.
As a consequence, your travel information has changed to :
La Compagnie flight B0107 departure on May 08th from New York – Newark at 9:45 pm, arrival London Luton at 9:55 am.
If you have any questions or we can be of further service, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team on our toll free number: 1(800) 218-8187 or by e-mail at contactny@lacompagnie.com. The team is available from Monday to Sunday, 9.00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming you soon on board La Compagnie.
The only problem is that I was doing an immediate turn, landing at 2100 and leaving at 2220. With Global Entry this should have been possible.
However, landing at 2100 and leaving at 2145 is just not going to work. Their service to Luton doesn’t run on a Saturday, so I suspect I’ll have to stay the night at Newark (deep joy) and fly back to Paris on the Saturday. Of course, I could just give up and ask for refund.
Let’s see how that phone call goes.
In the meantime, if you booked the excellent intro offer and are flying the service near launch, I suggest you check your emails. Now.
So your EWR departure was moved up 35 minutes? Otherwise your schedule is unchanged – same dates? Overall, that is not too bad (same day turn is always a little risky, but nevertheless, that is a bummer). There are reports on FlyerTalk of the May 1 EWR-Luton flight cancelled and customers rebooked onto May 4. My parents are flying in the middle of May EWR-Luton, my wife and I fly May 20 EWR-Luton. Getting concerned.
Curious why you are doing a same day turn? How can you mileage run when you don’t earn any miles?
@Kurt – I wanted to try them and the don’t fly back to London on Saturdays – hence Same Day! You are right, no mileage runs possible.
