As you may have read on the ‘Big 3’ BoardingArea bloggers sites, Hyatt has stepped up and added a couple of benefits to their rollout of Free Internet to everyone expected to be operational on Saturday (14 Feb). The new benefits are ‘nice-to-have’ rather than ‘Wow!’ but it does show that Hyatt continue to think about to benefit its best customers.
Guest of Honor
(Apologies for the spelling!) If you are a Diamond member and if you give someone a free night using your points, they will secure your benefits as a Diamond. The includes access to the Grand/Regency Club, late check-out and free breakfast (typically for up to 4 people in a room).
As I said a nice offering especially useful if you book an award room for a loved one who can experience the life of the Diamond member during their stay. Starts 1 March 2015.
United Club Passes
Hyatt are offering 2 United Club passes. The United Club are not the best in the US by a long way – plastic cheese and crackers – but their lounge at Terminal 2 would be a great way to use these.
Premium Internet for Platinum and Diamond members
Alongside the ‘Free Internet for All’ offering I mentioned as starting this weekend, Hyatt is rolling out free Premium Internet for its elite members. I love this! Intercontinental has long touted free internet, only for me to find it so slow that it’s unusable forcing you in to paying for the premium service.
