I had a recent stay at the Hilton Dublin Airport, whilst paying an extraordinarily good rate (EUR 66), in the current sale, the changes to HHonors have shown up now the stay has posted.
Crediting to my Virgin account, before the changes I would have earned 1,000 miles by double dipping the fixed amount per stay option.
With the removal of this option, the variable miles option earns barely a quarter of that amount:

I had planned to put together 1.4 mil Hilton miles to go across Australia and New Zealand for my retirement trip……now it will be mostly Hyatt with some Starwood and Hilton only when there are no other choices………voting with my feet………
