Saturday morning saw the North Terminal of Gatwick airport evacuated after a man was found with a gun and a knife at the airline check-in desks. Passengers were taken out of the terminal and flights that arrived at the North Terminal had their passengers bussed to the South Terminal for immigration.

In other words a mess.

The French national appeared in Court yesterday and was changed with having an air rifle and a lock knife on him. He was sent to be dealt with at the local Crown Court.

Well, that tell us that they don’t think it’s terrorism related.

It appears that he threw away the air rifle in a waste bin and ran off. When stopped he had the knife on him.
