Around 10am this morning, the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport. (The North Terminal is the home of British Airways at London’s second airport). Reports are that around 10am the terminal was evacuated and that Police were seen arresting a man who had a gun.

Passengers were queued outside on this rainy London morning.

Flights appear to leaving somewhat late – 20-40 minutes – but its unclear whether all passengers are making it through the airport in time for their flights. However, the Virgin afternoon flight is delayed about three hours at the moment.

The Gatwick Airport web site refers to the Terminal being closed due to an ‘incident’. Other news reports refer to a suspect package.
