In January I wrote a review about the Park Hyatt in Hamburg – you can read it here.
My return, after a train trip from Dusseldorf, secured a smaller room, and did not feature the ability to have Breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Apples as the Grand Club was open.
Reception checked me in quickly and I confirmed that I would like the bonus points, rather than the in-room amenity for the stay. They confirmed that I had a Grand Club room.
The Room
This was a standard room on the Grand Club Floor
Appreciably smaller than the previous room, it contained the essentials and had the same layout for the bathroom as the other room.
The WiFi was free at all Hyatt’s on this trip and so there were no signup problems. The bed was as comfortable as before and I decided to have a short mid-afternoon nap.
Whilst the room faced the courtyard there was plenty of natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows. They opened for fresh air.
Grand Club
I napped through the evening service in the Grand Club and so cannot comment on the service.
Breakfast was laid out on the book stand that is in the centre of the Grand Club area:
There was the usual selection of cold items. No offer of eggs from the restaurant was made, but there was a wide range of fruit, cheese, meats, yoghurt and cereal as well as rolls and pastries.
I was the only guest on this Sunday morning and whilst the member of staff working there was helpful she was not overbearing and allowed me to serve myself coffee and then brought me a fresh one once mine was drunk.
