As many people know the new airport for Berlin – Brandenburg – should have been opened many months ago in 2012. At the very last minute there was a problem with the Fire System and the opening was postponed.
Tegel continues to be the airport of choice for many visitors with its close in location to the heart of the city.
Well, there is an interesting article in GermanPulse this week about one of the engineers who designed the fire system. In an interview with Stern magazine he said “no one asked about my university qualifications; that wasn’t necessary for the work we carried out.”
