My February travels feature another mistake fare. This one was from Johannesburg, via Istanbul to Zurich on Turkish Airlines. I mentioned in my January travels post that Jan featured a number of firsts. February doesn’t provide so many chances, but there are a couple:

• First long haul flight on Turkish Airlines
• First time on the Gautrain from Johannesburg Airport to the Hyatt.

There will be other reports on the way there and back – the convoluted routing on the way down was because Ethiopian Airlines had a very good one-way fare from Vienna to Johannesburg.

So any thoughts on making this trip better?
