This property has rapidly become one of my firm favourites. Primarily because they do seem to give me some lovely upgrades.
On this occasion there was a big event on and I made a last minute booking having missed my connection back to London. Having picked up my bag from United I emerged to a lovely day in San Francisco. At the main terminals at SFO, the airport shuttles pick-up at the Upper Level so you need to go up one flight to the bag check area and out to the central island to get the bus. The Hyatt shares its buses with the Marriott and stops there first. About 15 minutes later I was at the hotel. A quick check-in, from a Manager who remembered me, and I was off to my room on the top floor.
As many bloggers have said before the best rooms at this property are the outside facing rooms, if possible with a bay view. I got excited when I opened the door and saw another large suite:
Not quite as big as the last one, it was great for an unexpected 24 hour stay. I got a lie-in the next day before my flight home.
The bedroom was fairly standard with a large comfortable bed:
The bathrooms in the suites at this property are huge with a massive shower and a bath in which you could fit a rugby team:
There was a small kitchen:
and a desk with a PC and views outside:
The views of the runway were super from the room and there were expansive views down the bay towards the planes landing at SFO.
I already have bookings here for 2014.
Going to be staying here in the next week. Hoping for a similarly good experience.
