Carrying on my theme of hotels at Seattle Airport, today I feature one of the new properties, the Hilton at Seattle Airport.
About a 5 minute walk from the tram stop and a 15 walk from the A gates baggage claim, the property is set back from the road. Quite small for a Hilton, the front desk is to the left as you enter the large lobby. There are two PC’s and a printer there for boarding pass printing.
The front desk was not busy and I was allocated a room on the top floor. The agent explained that because of the shape of the hotel, it would be easier for me to cut through the garden to get there. It was a simple, 3 minute walk to that side of the property and the lift wisked me to my floor.
There was nothing special about the room:
It was comfortable with a seperate desk:
A coffee machine and nice large flat TV.
The bathroom was fairly predictable with a basin and bath and standard Hilton amenities:
The real issue for me came the next morning when I noticed a very large toe nail adjacent to the bath when I got out. I mentioned this at check-out but beyond a ‘Sorry’, the agent did not attempt any service recovery. I am only a Hilton Gold which might explain it, but the property never followed up with me which was disappointing.
Truthfully I won’t be back here – a combination of the change to earning Hilton Double-Dip Airline Miles and better level to service at the Radisson, I think this hotel is not for me.
