BA retimes BA001 (LCY-JFK) to 0950 for winter

Some time ago I wrote about changes to the London City to New York service from BA. Specifically that the late flight BA3 was losing pre-clearance of US Immigration during the refueling stop in Shannon.

This is confirmed by BA, but what I had missed is that BA1, the earlier departure is being re-timed to 0950, arriving in JFK at 1420. The comparable Heathrow flight leaves at 1000 but arrives at 1245, making the queue have to be 1 hr 30 mins or so – seems that the City Service is still a good plan for those that hate queues.

  1. “the City Service is still a good plan for those that hate queues” … and for those who find it easier/faster to reach LCY than LHR (i) .
