News services are reporting that an explosion at Istanbul Airport, around 2am local time, has killed one person and injured another. One report indicates that it was on a plane parked at Sabiha Gokcen Airport. This is the airport on the Asia side of the city, not the one used by most passengers arriving in Istanbul from Europe and the US.
The two injured workers are reported as cleaners working on the Pegasus operated aircraft when the explosion occurred.
Turkish Authorities are saying that it was NOT terrorism.
