On the way to Grand Cayman I managed to pop in to the Flagship Lounge at JFK, in American’s Terminal 8.
The lounge is reserved for OneWorld Emerald Members and revenue First Class Passengers. Access is as follows:
Flagship Lounge is open to:
- American Airlines International First Class passenger
- AAdvantage Executive Platinum members
- oneworld International First Class passengers and Emerald tier members on an eligible flight operated by a oneworld member airline
Guests
First Class international passengers, Executive Platinum members and oneworld Emerald passengers are allowed one guest.
Anyway, I snapped some pictures of the extensive morning food offerings:
Plenty of hot and cold food, in a pretty empty lounge at 8am:
Some excellent views of my plane:
Just some clarification in order about access to this and the two other Flagship lounges in the US (ORD and LAX). AA’s own OW Emerald/ExecPlats can only access these lounges when flying on an overseas Oneworld/AA flight (in any class), or AA’s own 3-cabin transcon flight in F. No guests for AA ExecPlats though even if they are flying in F. The offerings in the lounge are too rich for general access to ExecPlats otherwise!
