I had a one night stay at the Hilton, CPH a couple of weeks ago.
The property is a five minute walk from the airport – either across the main road or via the enclosed link bridge which also leads to the trains to central Copenhagen.
As a Hilton Gold they gave me a room on the 10th floor, a breakfast coupon and free internet. There is an Executive Lounge (with great views) but this isn’t offered to Golds.
The room (top picture) was pretty nice with a good view of the terminal. In fact you see can see the BA plane that delivered me to Copenhagen in the picture below:
The bed was large and more comfortable than many Hiltons that I have stayed in. The internet was wired and wireless and worked well. Tea and Coffee were in the room and there were plenty of electrical outlets.
The bathroom had a full sized bath tub and a seperate show room which is always nice.
The hotel itself is built around a large atrium with the room leading off four sides. The view down to the bottom can cause a little vertigo!
I could not stay for breakfast due to an early flight but it is served on the ground floor.
Checkout was quick and accurate and as it was raining I used the walkway and was at the Security checkpoint in five minutes. Please be aware that there are several changes of level between the hotel and airport although there are lifts for those with bags as well as escalators.
So a good location and a Hilton that recognises Gold members with the appropriate benefits.
I truly enjoyed the Executive Lounge when I was there in 2007. Even without access to the Executive Lounge, I would recommend this property.
Last year, as a gold, I was upgraded to the Executive Lounge floor. I love the view, I could see all the way to where I grew up.
