Hyatt will be emailing members of World of Hyatt today with two changes they are making from 1 Jan 2018 to World of Hyatt.

No, they are not reducing qualification levels for Globalist. Shame.

Yes, they are going to start counting reward stays towards qualification – matching a number of other chains.

The other change, is that they are doubling the length of time that reward nights earned as part of status,  stay live. A major annoyance is that currently when you earn a free night at 30 nights (Category 1-4) or 60 nights (Category 1-7) they expire after 90 days. This is doubling to 180 days. A small step forward.

So some progress, if not necessarily the reduction in  nights for status nor reintroduction of  requalification through stays, but perhaps that might happen.
