REVIEW: Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne

Grand Hyatt Melbourne

The Grand Club at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne has been totally renovated since my last visit several years ago. It is large and has very large picture windows, with views over the city. Longer than wide, there were always places to sit when I was there, even at the busy evening hours.

Breakfast consisted of the usual range of pastries, cereals, breads, as well as a warm egg dish and bacon.

The evenings were better with free pour wine and self-service beer together with a wide range of cheeses, salad and hot items substantial enough for an evening meal if you are that way inclined.

The staff were friendly and whilst they seemed to know quite a lot of regular guests and spent time chatting with them, they were always available if I needed something.

A good lounge in a property that I really enjoyed staying with.

  1. Excellent? not in my opinion. It’s just an ok lounge. I wouldn’t even call it above average. It’s often overcrowded with no place to sit. The egg dish changes daily but there are no option of requesting made to order. Breakfast offering was really limited.
