Radisson, Seattle Airport

Some months ago I earned a free night with Radisson and decided to use it at their property at Seattle airport. The property is located on the entry road to the airport and so is easy to reach from the Tram Station (10 minute walk) or from the A gates baggage area – about 7 minutes walking (just follow the pavement past the bus stops).

Once I had booked, Radisson had emailed me with two offers – an upgrade to a corner room ($11) and a $30 credit for the restaurant for $14. I booked both of these.

The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Whilst the property is not stunning, it is very well looked after. The lift took too me to my room, 601, at the end of the corridor.

The room was large and nicely decorated with a large window.

There was a big desk area and the usual Radisson free Wi-Fi.

The bathroom was a typical for a hotel with plenty of towels.

The view from the window was very leafy overlooking a lake. There was no noise from the airport, primarily as I was on the opposite side of the hotel from SeaTac.

The restaurant opened at 5pm and I was the first one there. A good range on the menu there was a good choice from steaks, chicken through burgers and pasta. I managed to use all of the $30 credit I had purchased making the offer good value.

I left early in the morning so cannot comment about their offerings.

I took the van in the morning back to the airport – not knowing quite how close I was, plus it was raining. The service was friendly, and I was the only passenger on their 5am departure. Dropping at the parking garage it was a short walk to the United gates for my flight.

Overall a very solid property, in a good location. I would stay again.

  1. Thanks for the review. We stayed here for our cheap base on our trip to Seattle. Had alot of Carlson points to burn, LOL!

It was a very easy short 2 block walk to the train into downtown. And a very short walk down the hill from the airport. We found the hotel to be great for our family (even better since it was free but I would pay to stay here.)
