If you are crediting your Miles for Hilton stays to Avios via British Airways, you are missing out on some Avios.
Here’s why:
Earnings with BA are 500 or 100 depending on chain:
Whereas with Iberia you earn 750, 150 or 100, so you are only worse off is you get a targetted promo for BA, and not one for IB.
You are allowed to move Avios between BA, IB and Avios quite easily. (Your accounts must be open for three months to do this however.)
The system will prompt you for your login information for IB, once you login at BA.
The transfers are usually instant!
I’m not loyal to any airline. I also go with the one having the best promotion. Right now you can get 2000 points on Virgin Australia per stay. Definitely worth more than 750 avios.
